3.11 - Formation Laps
This sub-section outlines how Formation Laps are to be handled in RSF1.
3.11.1
Avoid intentional contact with other drivers during a formation lap. Be aware of your surroundings and leave a reasonable level of space.
3.11.2
While leaving space for other drivers, be wary to not prevent other drivers from weaving to build-up temperature in their tyres. Drivers who prevent other drivers from weaving on the formation lap could receive 1 Penalty Point.
3.11.3
If a driver crashes into another driver during a Formation Lap, 1 Penalty Point will be given, even if the affected driver is not damaged in any way.
3.11.4
Drivers will be given 1 Penalty Point if the gap to the car in front (on a formation lap) is excessive for a prolonged period of time.
3.11.5
Drivers should not make any overtakes on the Formation Lap. If a driver spins or drops to the back for any reason, they should stay in that position for the rest of the lap.
3.11.6
You cannot go into AI mode when parking your car onto the grid. Drivers observed to be doing this will receive 1 Penalty Point.
