3.3 - Lobby Rules
This sub-section defines the Lobby Rules within RSF1 events.
3.3.1
Members are reminded that they are required to respond to the race check-in by no later than 12pm (UK time) on race day for their respective divisions to allow suffiient time for division heads to inform and place reserves in time for the lobby opening.
3.3.2
On each division's respective race day, the lobby will normally be open around 15 minutes before the session begins. Every participant is expected to be in the lobby and ready to start by 8pm (UK Time). Any driver that is not in the lobby will be left behind, unless they have notified their division head with a valid reason as to why they are going to be late. The maximum time a lobby will be held for is 10 minutes.
3.3.3
In the event of a low driver-turnout, all championship contenders of the division will vote to fill the grid up with drivers from a lower division. This is to improve the turnout and the show for viewers on Twitch. If 75% of championship contenders agree, members from the lower division will be allowed to participate alongside them. This decision MUST be above the 75% threshold. If it is not, members from lower divisions will NOT be allowed to race. This only applies to the contenders racing in that particular event.
3.3.4
All members are to add their division’s main and back-up lobby host to their relevant platform's account so that they can join from the host's profile. This prevents invites having to be sent out to all players.
3.3.5
Before the lobby readies up to begin the session, the lobby host will communicate this in the Discord driver's lounge to inform every driver to prepare adequately with enough timing.
3.3.6
Members are reminded that readying up on the grid before the host is strictly forbidden, as this initiates a countdown timer to session start. Initiating the timer early can disadvantage other drivers. Any driver observed to be readying up (prior to the host) will receive a 10 second time penalty for their first offence, which is applied to the next race completed by the driver.
3.3.7
Members who ready up on the grid before the lobby host for a second time will receive a qualifying ban for the next race they attend.
3.3.8
Members who ready up on the grid up before the lobby host on any further occasions will result in their position in the league being re-evaulated, with a high likelihood of being removed from RSF1.
3.3.9
Should the lobby host DNF from the race for any reason, they are not permitted to leave the session until it has concluded. Should they leave the session without any valid reason (for example, a power cut or lobby disconnection), then this will be reviewed by the Committee and could lead to their position as 'the host' being re-evaulated.
3.3.10
Any member that appears to be deliberately altering the position of the brake marker boards around the track will be given 2 penalty points. This is seen as creating an unfair advantage and therefore is considered cheating, as this affects drivers that use racing line assist functionality in-game.
