3.7 - Race Classification & Points System

This sub-section outlines the Race Classification & Points rules for RSF1 events.

3.7.1

Points will be allocated as per the official F1 rules:

Driver's are reminded that the Sprint Race Points System is different to this Points System. To learn more about the Sprint Race procedure, please visit this page instead.

3.7.2

The driver who finishes the race with the fastest lap will receive 1 extra point, but only if they finish within a top 10 position. Fastest laps by players that finish outside the point-scoring positions will be disregarded, and no fastest lap point will be awarded for that event.

3.7.3

If a driver from the reserve pool participates in an event, they will keep any driver points they score, but will be listed separately from the main championship rankings. The constructor points that the reserve driver earns will be added to the main constructor’s championship.

3.7.4

If a driver from the reserve pool is moved into a full-time seat, the points that they have accumulated as a reserve driver will be moved into the full-time driver's championship. The points that they have accumulated for the constructor's championship will remain with the same team they drove for when they scored the points & will not be brought into the driver’s new full-time team.

3.7.5

If a full-time driver decides (for any reason) that they need to move into the reserve pool, then the driver will keep their scored points and they will transfer to the reserve driver table. If the driver then participates and scores points as a reserve driver, their points tally will be combined. The constructor points that the driver earned as a full-time driver will remain with the constructor.

3.7.6

If a driver decides to leave the league, they will lose all the points they have scored up until that point. Should the driver return to the league, they will not be able to recover these points and will have to start a fresh. The constructor's points scored by the driver will be unaffected.

3.7.7

If a driver is moved to a different division/tier, they will lose all points scored up until that point. Any constructor's points scored by the driver will NOT transfer to their new tier and they will remain in the tier/team in which they were accumulated.

3.7.8

If a driver fails to finish an event for any reason (DNF), they will not be awarded any points, even if they are in a point scoring position.
