4.3 - Providing Evidence

This page describes how you can provide evidence to assist the Stewards during The Stewarding Process.

In order for the stewards to make a fair assessment of any incidents, you MUST submit evidence. Any evidence in the form of a clip/recording will need to be submitted via the Google form link in the “Stewards Enquiry” tab in the RSF1 Discord Server. Within this form, you must include the following information:

  • Driver(s) Involved (Player gamertag/username & racing division)

  • A brief explanation of the incident.

  • A link/URL to the clip/recording (via Xbox Game DVR, Twitch, YouTube, or similar platform.)

  • A selection of perspective choice (i.e, defence for another driver's report, POV as a witness, or similar.)

If you are defending yourself as part of an incident, you MUST select the 'Defence' player perspective choice within in the form, otherwise the stewards will use any evidence they deem suitable. This could lead to undesirable race outcomes (i.e, you being penalised yourself) and/or other scenarios. Perspective choices like 'POV' should only be used when you have a view of an incident you are not involved in.

Formatting Evidence

The evidence you submit to The Stewards should be trimmed to only contain the incident that requires investigation. Alternatively, if a driver is unable to edit their desired evidence clip in this manner, then they must note when the incident occurs with a correct timestamp (i.e, 1:32).

Drivers must ensure that they are positioned in a safe place to record a clip whilst in a race. It's recommended that you set your clip capture length to at least 1 minute. This will allow you to have enough time to be in a safer place for your car to go into AI mode without putting another car at risk of contact with your AI car. If contact happens for any reason, Rule 3.9.1 will be applied.

The Stewards may also use footage from the Twitch stream to have a different angle of the incident, in order to help make a better judgement.

Submitting Evidence

All drivers are required to provide their desired evidence to The Stewards before 12:00 noon subsequent day after the race occurs. Evidence received after this time will NOT be accepted unless the driver has messaged one of the Head Stewards explaining why they cannot submit their evidence within the deadline. In this instance, a new deadline should be agreed, but this will usually not exceed 24 hours of additional time given.

For drivers that are under investigation, their names will be tagged in the “Incidents Under Investigation” tab within assigned Division channels of the RSF1 Discord Server. All drivers will then be given a deadline to submit any additional evidence to defend themselves.
