3.12 - The Race
This sub-section outlines the rules relating to the race during RSF1 events.
3.12.1
Drivers are reminded that the race is not won in turn 1. Make sure you are aware of your surroundings and are giving other drivers enough room, as well as trying to avoid contact at all times.
3.12.2
Drivers that damage their car on the first lap should not be overly-aggressive when defending their position against faster cars. This can result in further incidents when the field is packed together on lap 1.
3.12.3
Drivers are expected to adhere to the rules & flags in-game (yellow flags, blue flags, etc...); any drivers that do not adhere to the in-game rules and flags will receive 1 penalty point in addition to any in-game penalties they may receive.
3.12.4
When entering the pit-lane, drivers are reminded that crossing over the white line once they have gone past it is forbidden. Drivers that do cross the white pit entry line will receive 1 penalty point and a 5 second time penalty.
3.12.5
Drivers are not permitted to retire in the pits before 25% of a race has been run. We understand that sometimes players may have an emergency to tend to and so any occurrences of this will be investigated on an individual basis.
3.12.6
Some drivers may be considered a danger when on-track. This could be due to internet connection or general driving standards. Drivers who are deemed to be a danger on-track may receive a message from their Chief Division Head to request their retirement. Failure to retire after receiving this message could result in a penalty. Drivers may also be placed onto the warning system if their driving standards remain poor.
