3.5 - Resetting The Lobby
This sub-section outlines the rules regarding lobby resets during RSF1 events.
3.5.1
Lobbies will only be restarted if either a member of the Commentary team or a member of the Committee deems that is it the necessary action to take. All parties involved have guidelines for what constitutes a restart.
3.5.2
In the event of a lobby restart, the session's weather must be set to “custom” and should be modified to reflect that of the original session. Furthermore, the backup lobby host should be used where possible.
3.5.3
A restart can be called for any of the following reasons:
A game bug that affects more than one driver(s) in the lobby.
An unauthorised/unknown driver joins the lobby and does not leave.
The lobby host disconnecting.
Severe connection issues that affect more than one driver.
If a restart is called, it must be actioned before 9:30pm. Anything after this time will be voided and a rerun will be scheduled (if possible) at the end of the season. Furthermore, if a restart is called at the end of Q1 then the new session will have short qualifying applied. If a restart is called after Q1, drivers are to finish Q2 & Q3 in the original lobby prior to entering the new lobby. A restart can be called by the Commentary team or any member of the Committee that are currently watching the event.
3.5.4
At least one Admin will be watching every race and they will be the point of contact that evening (if required). If a driver receives an unfair 5-place grid penalty during qualifying, they will need to send the clip to that admin so they can deem if its unfair or not. If the admin concludes that the penalty is unfair, then a restart will take place after qualifying to rectify this.
3.5.5
If a restart is called after 9:30 then half points may be awarded, but only if 75% or more of the race has been completed. If less than 75% of the race has been completed by this point then the race will be re-scheduled at the end of the season if possible.
