3.8 - Pausing & Quitting The Game
This sub-section outlines the rules around pausing and quitting the game during RSF1 events.
3.8.1
Drivers that are still connected to the lobby who pause their game and go into AI mode (to make a clip) are reminded that they are still responsible for their car’s actions during this period. Drivers that leave the game manually will also be deemed responsible their car's actions.
3.8.2
Drivers that do have to retire their car (for any reason) during an event must do so whilst inside the pit lane. This is to avoid major issues, such as a driver's AI car slowing down on-track or parking in a dangerous location, which may bring out the safety car and influence the outcome of the race.
3.8.3
Drivers that do retire on track (and are capable of driving around & entering the pits) will receive a minimum of 2 penalty points. Should a driver continue to do this over the course of the season then they will be investigated and may receive a harsher penalty. Drivers that are retired automatically by the game on-track (possibly due to an accident) will not be penalised.
