3.1 - General Racing Rules

This sub-section defines the General Racing Rules within RSF1.

3.1.1

Participants are to always expected to race cleanly. No contact should occur between cars on track and drivers are expected to do their best to avoid this at all times. However, we understand that under certain circumstances accidents can happen, and such incidents are to be reported to the stewards for further investigation.

3.1.2

If you are involved in an on-track incident, do not react in an unprofessional manner. Losing out due to another driver's mistake or recklessness is no excuse for retaliation or acting against the rules. Drivers are reminded that not all races will follow their desired outcome. Drivers should not act out of ordinary conduct if a race is not going as planned.

Drivers should remain calm at all times, regardless of on-track incidents or other unfortunate occurences during a session.

3.1.3

Deliberately crashing into another car is not acceptable and will be investigated by the Stewards or the Committee. This may (in a worst-case scenario) result in being banned from RSF1.

3.1.4

Inappropriate driving standards (e.g. reckless driving on-track, not taking an event seriously, etc) will be punishable for both Social and Official Race events.

3.1.5

Every driver is entitled to use a race engineer. However, their race engineer must use the official RSF1 Twitch livestream for racing information. Any means otherwise could be deemed as gaining an unfair advantage and will be considered cheating.

3.1.6

Social Races are to be taken as seriously as official league race events. Members are reminded that the same rules and regulations apply in these events as the official league events. Members are also reminded that they are subject to penalties from these social events, but will be subject to an adjusted set of penalties designed specifically for these types of events.

3.1.7

For the avoidance of doubt, any rule referring to “the race” or "the event" can be applied to qualifying, the sprint race or the race if deemed necessary by the Stewards.
