5.3 - Penalty Point System

This page describes the Penalty Points that can be applied to players by The Stewards.

Every driver in RSF1 is issued with a Racing Licence. This works like a regular Driving Licence, whereby bad behaviour (either on-track or off-track) results in points being added. The penalty points system allows tracking of driver's records of breaking clean racing rules, whilst also allowing for more severe punishments for repeat offenders. Penalty points will be applied alongside normal race penalties, as per the list below:

Light Penalties

  • 1 Point – Driving dangerously or unsportsmanlike.

  • 1 Point – Causing a minor avoidable collision.

Moderate Penalties

  • 2 Points – Causing a moderate collision.

  • 1-3 Points – Excessively abusing track limits (depending on severity).

  • 3 Points - Retiring on track but staying in session, causing a collision/block of other driver(s).

Severe Penalties

  • 3-4 Points - Causing a major avoidable collision.

  • 4 Points - Crashing on track on purpose, possibly causing a race changing scenario.

  • 15 Points – Deliberately crashing into another driver, resulting in your removal from RSF1.

Accumulation of penalty points

  • If you accumulate 3 penalty points in one session, you will receive a qualifying ban.

  • If you accumulate 6 penalty points in one session, you will receive a race ban.

  • If you accumulate 4 penalty points over the season, you will receive a qualifying ban.

  • If you accumulate 7 penalty points over the season, you will receive a race ban.

  • If you accumulate 10 penalty points over the season, your place will be put under review by the committee.
