3.20.2 - Moderate Collisions

This sub-section outlines the rules that apply regarding moderate racing collisions during RSF1 events.

Moderate collisions are considered more sever than minor collisions, but less severe than major collisions.

What constitutes a moderate collision?

A moderate collision is classified as a collision that causes moderate damage to a car (e.g. moderate (yellow/orange) front wing damage that causes a significant loss in lap time), or a collision that causes a car to spin or leave the track that results in a significant loss of time (up to 10 seconds).

Are there any penalties for moderate collisions?

Drivers will be penalised for causing a moderate incident with a time penalty. Drivers who cause this type of incident may also receive penalty points on their licence.
